Discover The Thrill Of Jinja: A 2-Day Adventure

If it is an evening or late night flight, our driver will be waiting for you at the airport with a poster having the name of your tour leader at the arrival area. He will help with loading your luggage in to the vehicle and then transfer you to the reserved accommodation in Entebbe Town. Here you will check-in and spend the rest if the night there. For early morning flights, it will be optional for you to check-in at a reserved accommodation for a refreshment and breakfast before we start off with our trip to Jinja.

Early in the morning after breakfast we check-out from the accommodations in Entebbe and start off with the journey to Jinja City, Mother to the longest river in Africa, the Nile. We take the route via Kayunga and have a stopover at Kangulumira town to Kalagala Cultural Site. The site is located on the banks of the Nile at a point with a falls and enormous rocks which symbolise different beliefs in the Buganda Kingdom. A guide will take you through giving information on why and what each rock symbolises to the Baganda tribe. The same point has a safe area for swimming and a local no-glaze pottery store at its entrance. The Potter at the store will showcase for you his skills in developing different items with his hands, and take you through the process of modelling from Clay collection to kiln burning. The store still sells some nice items that would be nice souvenirs to carry back home. We embark on our journey to the City and later check in at our reserved accommodation.

We do a boat trip to the Source of River Nile and on return we have lunch and drive to Busowoko Falls. Busowoko can be reffered to as the fun factory because of it's variety of water based activities that will refresh not only your mind but the physical body as well. The water massage, tubing, kayaking, simple rafting, swimming, to mention but the least are some of what you can engage in while at this place.

The scenery alone will keep you wanting to come back, always just to gaze at God's Artistic Creation of Mother Nature. Late in the evening, we return to Jinja City for our dinner. Jinja nightlife experience is optional, depending on the day of the week that you happen to be in Jinja, the weekend is always lit in Jinja nightclubs with huge turn-ups from different parts of the country. Here you can experience the good vibes, music, drinks and performances in different locations of the city. The Barboun on the Nile, Club 49, the Rafters and many more are some of those you can visit to enjoy Jinja's nightlife. Overnight at our accommodation.

We begin your day with a delicious breakfast overlooking the majestic Nile River. Following a comprehensive briefing from our expert guide, you'll be fitted with life jackets and helmets and then transported to the rafting start point. Upon arrival, meet your fellow rafters and guides, and receive a detailed safety briefing. Launch into the river on our 40-meter water slide for a practical instruction session. As you navigate the river, take in the breathtaking scenery and tackle some of the world's most exhilarating and safest white water rapids.

Before each rapid, our guides will explain the planned route, ensuring maximum fun and safety. If you ever feel uncomfortable, you can join the safety boat or walk around the rapid and rejoin the raft later. Enjoy calm stretches of water between rapids, perfect for swimming, taking a breather, and absorbing the stunning surroundings. Mid-trip, savour biscuits and Uganda's famous juicy pineapples on one of the tranquil pools.

After working up an appetite, we indulge in cold beer, soda, and fresh chicken wraps as we pack up the gear. Immediately after the 15 km whitewater rafting journey, we return to Kampala, marking the end of our trip.
