NIGHTS PRIMATES WITH KABALEGA FALLS UGANDA SAFARI

If it is an evening or late night flight, our driver will be waiting for you at the airport with a poster having the name of your tour leader at the arrival area. He will help with loading your luggage into the vehicle and then transfer you to the reserved accommodation in Entebbe Town. Here you will check-in and spend the rest of the night there. For early morning flights, it will be optional for you to check-in at a reserved accommodation for refreshments and breakfast before we start off with our trip to Lake Mburo National Park.

Our trip starts with a smooth drive via Masaka City to Lake Mburo National Park. On the way, we stop over at Kayabwe Equator Point for breakfast, relaxing, equator experience, and taking some photos. 'Did you know that sinking water rotates in different directions depending on the different hemisphere in which it is happening!' Here during the Equator experience, a demonstration of the two different sinking rotations is carried out by the attendants at the Equator. We later proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, check-in at our accommodation, and have lunch. Later in the evening, we do an Ankole community visit for milking activities. We get involved in the activities, find out how milk is stored, preserved locally, and how it is processed into ghee. We visit their homesteads and see the setting basically for milk storage. We later return to the accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Early in the morning after breakfast, we go for the morning game drive in the park. Lake Mburo is known for its largest antelope, the elands, and zebras; it does have several other animals like giraffes, which make it one of the most amazing national parks in Uganda. We return for lunch and later do an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo for its wonderful giant Nile crocodiles. The lake is a nice spot for several bird species like the African fish eagles and others. We later return to the accommodation for dinner and overnight.

We take our time, have breakfast, and we can conduct a morning walk in the park before starting off with our journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. We check-in at the accommodation, and an evening guided forest walk is optional. Lunch on the way, dinner, and overnight at our reserved accommodation.

Early in the morning after breakfast, we drive to the UWA briefing point for guidelines on how to behave around these enormous extinct mountain gorillas. Here you will be grouped and attached to an armed ranger for safety and a guide who will lead you into the forest for the gorilla trekking activity. Depending on the starting points, it could be immediately starting over, a simple walk to, or drive to the starting point. On return, we drive to Ishasha. Lunch in Kihihi town. Ishasha is in the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, it is known for its tree-climbing lions, the reason as to why lions here climb trees is to enjoy the cool breeze in the trees as the area happens to have high temperatures. These predators also use the trees to spot their prey as they get clear sight while up high in the trees. Here we conduct a normal game drive in the evening and in case nature favors us and encounter the tree climbers, well and good, but if not, then we enjoy what nature offers. Dinner and overnight in either Kihihi town or Ishasha.

We start the day with a drive to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. We check-in at the accommodation, have lunch, and later do an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. Kazinga Channel is a waterway joining Lakes Edward and George. The channel gives us a chance to spot some aquatic wildlife such as hippos and crocodiles, variety of birds, and animals as they come to drink water from the channel. Very early in the morning, we carry our packed breakfast and go for the morning game drive. Queen Elizabeth is known for its thrilling numbers of lions, the park still harbors antelopes like topis, Uganda kob, etc., buffaloes, elephants, and many more. We also visit the salt mining area of Bunyampaka Lake for information about salt harvesting in this park and some migrant bird watching like the flamingo. We return for lunch and later in the afternoon we do the amazing crater drive. Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its many crater holes that were formed as a result of volcanic eruption, some of which are filled with water to form lakes and others are empty with vegetation

We drive to Kibale National Park through the crater lakes area with several stopovers for photography and viewing. Lunch on the way, probably Kasese town. We also stop over at Kikorongo Equator Area for the equator experience and photos still. Did you know that sinking water rotates in different directions while in different hemispheres, then here you stand a chance to witness these two different directions. We check-in at our reserved accommodation, refresh, and take an evening walk around the area. The place has several crater lakes that can be spotted after a short hike through the forest. The same area has a point referred to as the Top of the World because of its nice viewpoint that gives you a chance to watch an aerial view of the forest and crater lakes. We have breakfast in the morning and drive to the Uganda Wildlife Authority briefing office for the chimpanzee trek. Kibale National Park is a habitat to several primates with chimpanzees, our closest relatives, as the leading primates here, followed by several other monkeys like the black and white colobus monkeys, the red-tailed monkey, baboons, vervet monkeys, etc. Chimpanzees are referred to as our closest relatives because the resemblance in their DNA to that of the human race is 98% similar. These animals are habituated by professionals to make them safely accessible by tourists during the treks. At the briefing point, you will be told how to behave around them for safety, grouped, and attached to an armed ranger and guide to lead you into the tropical rainforest in search of the chimpanzees. On return, we do the Bigodi community walk visiting the local people for demonstrations of coffee production, local brewing, the local herbalist, and also get a chance to taste a local meal as lunch for the day. The local lunch is optional, and we can still have our lunch at the accommodation. We also do an optional swamp walk for birding in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the accommodation

We leave Kibale National Park in the morning after breakfast and head to Murchison Falls National Park via Buliisa, enjoying the Albertine Rift Valley views with variation in landscapes and vegetation. We stop over in Hoima Oil Town for lunch before proceeding to the Park. We check-in at the accommodation and spend the rest of the evening relaxing.

Very early in the morning, we carry our packed breakfast and go for the morning game drive. There is a bigger chance to spot the big cats on the tracks as they are uncomfortable with wetness of the fields in the morning, so they keep close to the road until it shines. Beside the cats, Murchison Falls has a variety of animals to watch and in quite some good numbers. Giraffes, elephants, antelopes, buffaloes, hippos, warthogs, etc. are what we expect to watch during the game drive. The same park has a variety of birds, both bright and dull feathered birds, vultures, hornbills, piapiacs, kingfishers, sunbirds, etc. We later return to our accommodation for lunch and in the afternoon we go for the boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. During the boat cruise, we have a chance to spot some aquatic wildlife, animals that come to drink from the river, and also spot some really nice birds. On our return in the evening, we can visit the top of the falls, this is a point where the entire waters of River Nile squeeze through a point 7m wide and fall off a cliff 42m down, causing a thunderous sound that is heard three kilometers before arriving at the fall, forming a vapor that showers you on your approach to it, and hence giving it the title of the strongest water fall in the World. Dinner and overnight at our booked accommodation.
